Non-profit partner Henderson Saddle Association is offering DSCLV families and friends a Horse Adventure Meet and Greet on Sat., October 8 at their site in east Henderson, east of Boulder Highway off of Galleria. Join us to experience and learn about horses.
Free, and fun for all ages! There will be different stations with activities for each person’s level of comfort.
Come to pet, brush, walk a horse on a lead, or even ride a horse! If you’ve ever wondered if horse therapy is right for your child/adult, join us for this DSCLV event.
Interaction between the person and a horse can help people with Down syndrome facilitate increased muscle tone, and improve flexibility, mobility and posture, and is a lovely way to stimulate sensory processing. (Usually horse therapy is for people 2 and up.)
For more information or questions, call DSCLV Board member Felica Calhoun at 702-985-8662. RSVP is required.
